We did it!! Today we finished the Gran Fondo (ok, maybe only the Piccolo Fondo, but it was Gran for us). Here's a picture of Marty, the sponsor, with Ginger and me gearing up in the background. The ride originally was scheduled for the end of August, but Hurricane Irene came through and totally changed those plans. It was for the better. The weather today was perfect -- low 50's in the early morning and never really got above high 60's. We bundled up and breezed through all 43 miles.
